BC Set to Compete at ACC Championships

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's track and field team is set to compete at the ACC Indoor Championships at Virginia Tech Thursday (Feb. 21) through Saturday (Feb. 23).

Jessica Creedon will look to start things off for the Eagles on Thursday in the Pentathlon. Creedon set a PR in the event at the NEICAAA Championships on Feb. 1, with 3642 points, earning a second place finish.

The team will look to Julia Lyons in the long jump, and the 60M dash. In the long jump, Lyons is seeded with a distance of 6.02M, while in the 60M dash, is seeded with a time of 7.81.

In the 400M, Monica Heil and Sarah Heckel will look to score for the Eagles. Heil is seeded with a time of 57.55, while Heckel is seeded with a time of 59.39.

Nicole Clermont and Lauren White will compete in the 3000M this weekend. Clermont posted a PR time of 9:40.10 at the Terrier Classic on Jan. 26, while White earned a seed time of 9:48.75.

In the 5000M, Emeline Delanis is one of four Eagles running in the event. Delanis posted a PR time of 16:12.88 at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Feb. 8, earning a first place finish. Fian Sullivan Sweeney, Anna Oeser, and Kayla Smith will also be running for BC in the event.
