Two Game Road Trip For The Eagles

Eagles have UNC and No. 4 Louisville this week
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's basketball team will head out on a two-game road trip. The Eagles (14-12, 3-10 ACC) will play at North Carolina (16-11, 7-6 ACC) on Thursday (7 p.m.), followed by a Sunday afternoon game at No. 4 Louisville (2 p.m.). Fans can watch both the games via the ACC Network.

BC vs. UNC
- Boston College and North Carolina have met 15 times. The Tar Heels lead the overall series, 12-3.
- The two teams played twice last season. In the regular season, Boston College defeated North Carolina, 77-64, at Conte Forum. Taylor Ortlepp led BC with 23 points. They met against in the ACC Tournament with the Tar Heels earning the win, 69-64.
- The two teams first met on Feb. 20, 2006.
- UNC is coming off a 70-53 victory over Virginia. The Tar Heels have three wins over ranked teams (USF, Notre Dame and NC State).

BC vs. LOUISVILLE
- Boston College and Louisville (23-2, 10-2 ACC) have played six times. The Cardinals lead the overall series, 5-1.
- BC's only victory over Louisville came in the first meeting on Dec. 28, 1085. BC defeated the Cardinals, 74-68, behind Marie Grant's 20-point, 9-rebound effort at the WRAL Classic hosted by NC State. Â Â
- Coach Joanna Bernabei-McNamee was an assistant coach at Maryland alongside current Louisville head coach Jeff Walz when the Terps won the 2005-06 National Championship.
- BC assistant coach AJ Cohen was a practice player and video assistant coordinator for the Louisville program. He is a 2013 graduate of Louisville.
- Louisville is at Virginia on Thursday at 7.

- The Eagles scoring average (75.2) is the second highest in program history if it stands to the end of the season. The record is 77.9 set by the 2010-11 team.
- In ACC play only, Emma Guy is sixth overall in field goal percentage at 56 percent. She is 14.2 points and six rebounds a game.
- Freshman Makayla Dickens is the second highest scoring first-year player in the conference with a 14-point average in ACC action. Dickens has tallied double-figures in six of the last eight games. She has recorded three double-doubles – all against ACC teams (NC State, Wake Forest & Virginia).
- Junior Taylor Ortlepp played 27 minutes on her return to action last week against Clemson. Prior to her injury, Ortlepp was averaging a team-high 31 minutes per game.
- Freshman Taylor Soule has started the last three games (at Syracuse, vs. Notre Dame and vs. Clemson). Soule is averaging 9.0 points and 6.0 rebounds a game. She notched her career-high with nine rebounds vs. Clemson on Saturday.

HISTORY LESSON
- On Feb. 27, 2011, former point guard Jaclyn Thoman '11 tallied her 500th career assist vs. Maryland. She is one of six players in program history to record 500 or more assists. Thomas finished with 521 which is fifth on the all-time list. The all-time record is 611 held by Sue Fristch '90.
