Eagles Complete Middlebury Carnival with Giant Slalom

HANCOCK, Vt. – Boston College closed out the Middlebury Carnival on Saturday with the giant slalom at the Middlebury Snow Bowl in Vermont. BC will complete the Dartmouth Carnival on Sunday (Feb. 17) in a GS which was postponed last Friday due to ice.Â
For the second straight day, Parker Biele and Trent Gutstein led the Eagles. Gutstein earned 32nd place in the men's race with a combined time of 2:10.37, while Biele paced the women in the GS by placing 33rd overall with a time of 2:18.78.
Amanda Steffey (2:22.11), Kelsie Grant (2:22.34), and Madeline Davis (2:22.64) placed 43rd, 45th, and 46th respectively for the women. Chris Bertram skied a combined time of 2:13.07 for the men to finish 53rd.
After skiing at Dartmouth tomorrow, Boston College travels to Sunday River next weekend (Feb. 22-23) for the EISA Championships, which will be held at the Bates Carnival in Maine.
