CLIMBING THE RANKS
Boston College is ranked No. 22 in the nation in this week's Tennis Channel/USTA College Tennis Top-25 poll after checking in at No. 25 the previous week. Individually, Yufei Long is ranked 76th in the country by the ITA, while Kylie Wilcox sits 108th. Wilcox and Jackie Urbinati are 55th nationally in doubles despite playing with different partners the last two weekends.Â
WEEKEND RECAP
BC pushed its perfect record to 9-0 last Saturday as it swept Boston University (6-1) and Rhode Island (7-0) in a doubleheader at the Flynn Recreation Complex.
Yufei Long, Kylie Wilcox, Laura Lopez, and Maria Ross all went 2-0 in singles against the Terriers and Rams, and Lopez didn't lose a set. Natasha Irani, Loren Haukova, and Marion Conklin also picked up singles victories in straight sets for the Eagles.
Jackie Urbinati teamed up with Long to win both of the duo's doubles matches 6-2 and 6-3 on Saturday. Reagan Posorske and Haukova won their match 6-0 against URI to help BC clinch the doubles point.Â
