Benton earns regional Player to Watch honors after a standout 2025-26 season
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College women's tennis standout Olivia Benton earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association New England Region honors following an impressive 2025-26 season.
Benton was named the recipient of the ITA New England Region Player to Watch Award. The honor recognizes a student-athlete who has demonstrated strong competitive success, continued growth and a promising trajectory within collegiate tennis.
In addition, Benton finished the year ranked No. 2 in the ITA New England Regional Singles Rankings, placing her among the top singles players in the region. She also earned a national singles ranking of No. 121.
"Olivia's dedication, work ethic and commitment to excellence have been evident throughout the season," head coach Nigel Bentley said. "These honors are a testament to the tremendous progress she has made and the impact she continues to have on our program."
Benton's accomplishments highlight her individual talent, leadership and commitment to representing Boston College with distinction on and off the court.
