Eagles Defeat Crosstown Rival Terriers 5-2

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College men's tennis team defeated Boston University 5-2 on Friday at the Flynn Recreation Complex, improving to 2-1 on the spring.Â
The Eagles earned the doubles point as Derek Austin and Sean Mullins won their No. 1 doubles match 6-0, while the No. 3 team sealed the point by winning 6-3.
Austin, Max Mendelsohn, Sean Mullins, and Alexander Chieffalo all won their singles matches in straight sets, losing a total of 21 games to the Terriers. BU earned its two points from the No. 2 and 5 slots in singles.Â
Boston College hosts Southern New Hampshire on Saturday (Feb. 2) at 12 p.m. on the Heights.
