Eagles Cruise Past Southern New Hampshire at Home

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College men's tennis team cruised past Southern New Hampshire 6-1 on Saturday afternoon at the Flynn Recreation Complex, improving to 3-1 on the spring.
The Eagles earned the doubles point as Derek Austin and Sean Mullins won their No. 1 doubles match 6-4 over SNHU's van Biezen brothers. The No. 3 team of Santiago Montufar and Wills Tutecky sealed the point by winning a tight match 7-5.
Austin, Chris Grasel, Markus Nordby, Alexander Chieffalo, and Tutecky all won their singles matches in straight sets over the Penmen. Austin lost just four games while Chieffalo dropped only five.
Boston College opens ACC play next weekend with a pair of matches against ranked opponents. The Eagles travel to No. 13 Notre Dame on Friday and host No. 12 Virginia on Sunday.
