Taylor Soule leads Eagles with 23 points & a career-high 16 rebounds
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Sophomore Taylor Soule recorded her first career double-double with 23 points and a career-high 16 rebounds as Boston College defeated Delaware State, 109-69, on Friday afternoon in front of 3,619 fans on Field Trip Day at Conte Forum.
Soule shot 8-for-12 from the floor and had a double-double at the half with 13 points and 12 rebounds. She also had a career-high four blocks. Soule was one of five players in double-figures as the Eagles shot 52 percent from the floor in the game.
Senior Emma Guy pitched in with 19 points, three rebounds and three blocks, while redshirt sophomore Cameron Swartz finished with 19 points, four rebounds and a career-high eight assists. Sophomore Marnelle Garraud made four three-pointers on her way to 14 points, six assists and four rebounds and second-year center Clara Ford matched her career-high with 10 points in the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles held a 27-23 lead after the first quarter behind nine points from Cameron Swartz and seven points and eight rebounds Taylor Soule. BC shot 40 percent and had a 19-9 lead on the boards in the first 10 minutes of action.
- Boston College pulled away in the second quarter behind a 19-2 run. Soule had six points in the run as BC held a 46-23 lead with 2:33 to play. The Eagles held Delaware St. to just eight points in the quarter and took a 55-31 halftime lead. Soule had 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Swartz added 13 points and four assists at the half.
- The lead grew as the Eagles outscored the Lady Hornets, 22-12, in the first seven minutes of the third quarter. BC scored 30 points point in the quarter to put the game away early and take an, 85-47, with 10 minutes left in the game.
