Eagles Host CCSU in Final Home Non-Conference Game

Clear Bag Policy:
Similar to football season, a clear bag policy will be in effect for all men's basketball games at Conte Forum. Approved bags for entrance to Conte Forum include a clear plastic bag that does not exceed 12"x12"x6", a one-gallon sized clear plastic bag, or a small clutch wristlet or handheld wallet.

Concessions:
Sunday's specially priced concessions item: $2 souvenir sodas. Kids fare is available in Conte Forum and all items will be $1.50, including Uncrustables peanut butter and jelly sandwich, Goldfish snack crackers, and "kid popular" bottled drinks provided by Coca-Cola. Additionally, all concessions (with the exception of alcohol) will be discounted by 50% pre-game, prior to tip-off.

BOSTON COLLEGE VERSUS CENTRAL CONNECTICUT

Today's game marks the sixth meeting between the two schools.
BC has won the previous five matchups.
In the last meeting, BC earned an 84-65 win on Dec. 17, 2017.

STEFFON MITCHELL DOES IT ALL
This season...

Steffon Mitchell leads BC in rebounding (8.9), blocks (1.0), and steals (1.9) per game, while ranking second in assists (3.0).
He is the only player nationally to log 8.9 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.9 steals, and 1.0 blocked shots per game.
Mitchell has led the team in rebounding in nine games, blocks on six occasions, assists four times, and steals four times.
Last time out vs. Albany, he logged his second double-double of the season: 15 points, 13 boards.
He also tied his career-high with five steals to go along with two assists vs. the Great Danes.
Against High Point, Mitchell logged his seventh career double-double, with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Graduate transfer Derryck Thornton has returned to the ACC to play his final season of eligibility.
He is Boston College's leading scorer (14.4 ppg) and ranks 13th in the ACC in scoring.
Thornton also ranks 10th in the ACC in assists, averaging 4.0 assists per contest, and fifth in steals (1.8 spg).
His top two career scoring performances - 23 vs. Wake Forest and 22 at USF - came in the first two games of the season.
Overall, three of Thornton's top four and six of his top 10 single-game scoring totals have come in a BC uniform.
Thornton began his career at Duke in 2015-16, averaging 7.1 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 36 games (20 starts).
The Los Angeles native transferred to USC, where he played two seasons for the Trojans from 2017-19.
Thornton averaged 6.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 3.0 assists in 57 games at USC, posting a 1.73:1 assist/turnover ratio.
Last season, the 6-3, 195 lb. point guard averaged 7.7 points, 2.8 boards, 4.3 assists, and a 2.2:1 assist/turnover ratio.
His assist/turnover mark ranked third in the Pac 12, while his assists average ranked sixth-best in the conference in 2018-19.

THAT'S GOOD, CALVIN, VERY GOOD...

CJ Felder has proven to be a solid contributor off the bench for Boston College through the first 11 games.
The 6-7 freshman forward is averaging just under 6.0 points and 4.0 boards in 20 minutes of action per game.
He tallied eight points, four rebounds, and two assists at Notre Dame and had a season-best 10 points at USF.

SWISH-RAIN

Julian Rishwain found his range in BC's home game versus DePaul, knocking down 4-of-7 from beyond the arc.
The 6-5 freshman guard tallied a season-best 15 points vs. the Blue Demons, adding 3-of-4 from the foul line.
For the season, the freshman guard has connected on 10 3-pointers, shooting 35% from the perimeter.
