
Eagles Off To Washington on Sunday

Eagles at Washington Sunday at 8 p.m.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College men's soccer team will head to Seattle to play No. 6 Washington on Sunday, Nov. 24 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at Husky Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. (ET) and will be live streamed on PAC-12 Plus with Ann Schatz and Andrew Harvey on the call.
ABOUT THE EAGLES
- The Boston College men's soccer team will travel west to play Washington in Seattle, Washington. The Eagles advanced with a 3-0 victory over #25 Yale in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday night.
- It is the first time since 2016 that BC has gained a berth into the NCAA Tournament. BC is also one of 10 teams from the ACC teams to make the tournament.
- Boston College has played five overtime in the last 10 games. In the five OT's, BC is 0-2-3. The three ties have come at No. 18 Virginia Tech, vs. Merrimack and vs. No. 1 Virginia.
- Boston College's RPI as of Monday, Nov. 18 is 28. The Eagles are receiving votes in this week's CollegeSoccerNews Top 30 and 24th in the TopDrawerSoccer poll.
- BC has battled the injuries all season. The only starter who remains on the injured list is senior defender Heidar Aegisson who has played only five games. Sophomore Kristofer Konradsson missed six games, while Amos Shapiro-Thompson missed three games. Freshman goalkeeper Giacomo Piccardo has missed nine games.
- Three freshman – Stefan Sigurdarson, Amos Shapiro-Thompson and Michael Suski – lead BC in scoring. Sigurdarson has tallied eight goals with four assists for 20 points. Suski, who had a goal and assist vs. Yale, has four goals and four assists for 12 points.
- Junior David Longo and freshman Victor Souza are the only players on the roster that have played every minute of every game. Longo, Souza, Stefan Sigurdarson and Lasse Lehmann have started every game this year.

- This will be the first meeting between Boston College and Washington.
- Boston College has played teams from the Pac-12 only three times.
- The Eagles played Stanford twice (1985, 1987) and UCLA in 1981. The only win came vs. UCLA in 1981 (2-1).
