Eagles Cruise To 3-0 Win over Northeastern

Stefan Sigurdarson, Kristofer Konradsson & Mike Suski lead BC to victory.
NEWTON, Mass. – The Boston College men's soccer team scored three second half goals on its way to a 3-0 victory over non-conference foe Northeastern on Tuesday afternoon.
Boston College improved to 7-2-2 (1-2-1 ACC) and will host No. 1 Virginia on Friday night. Northeastern is now 5-5-3 (1-0-0 CAA) and will host Bucknell next Tuesday.
Freshman Michael Suski and sophomore Kristofer Konradsson recorded a goal and an assist in the win, while freshman Stefan Sigurdarson scored his team-high fourth goal of the season.
Sophomore goalkeeper Christian Garner had one save as he improved to 3-0-2 on the season.
The Eagles took control of the game in the 53rd minute when Sigurdarson scored off a cross from Jesus Sahagun. The 6-foot-3 forward headed the ball into the near post for a 1-0 BC lead. A minute later, Kondradsson scored on a one-timer in the box on a pass from Suski.
Suski finished the scoring in the 56th minute on a right-footed shot into the near post. Konradsson was credited with the assist.

53' | BC - Stefan Sigurdarson headed a cross from Jesus Sahagun into the near post for a 1-0 BC lead. The play started when Lasse Lehmann switched the field of attack and sent a long ball to Joe Kellett. Kellett one-timed the ball back to Sahagun, who sent the ball into the box for Sigurdarson.
54' |BC – Kristofer Konradsson one-timed a ball from four yards out off a feed from Micahel Suski.
56' | BC – Konradsson returned the favor and sent a long ball to Suski down the right sideline. The freshman ripped a high shot to the near post for a 3-0 lead.
GAME NOTES
- Boston College now leads the overall series against Northeastern, 12-1-1. BC is now 8-0-1 at home against the Huskies.
- In the last five games, BC is 3-0-2. The three wins are against UMass, Wake Forest and Northeastern. In the unbeaten run, BC tied at No. 18 Virginia Tech and vs. Merrimack.
- Freshman Stefan Sigurdarson has scored a goal in the last two games. He now leads the team with four goals and two assists for 10 points. He also leads BC with three game-winning goals.
- In only his second game back from injury, Kristofer Konradsson recorded his second goal of the season. He now has two goals and an assist.
- This was Michael Suski's first multiple point game with a goal and an assist. He now has two goals and three assists for seven points.
- The Eagles defense –David Longo, Joe Kellett, Victor Souza and Tyshawn Rose – played another full 90 minutes, while limiting Northeastern to just one shot on goal.
- Sophomore Alex Mieles earned his second start of the season. He played 69 minutes.
- BC had 14 shots, while the Huskie had 10. The Eagles held an 8-4 edge in shots in the second half.
