No. 27 Eagles Head to Blacksburg for ACC Championships

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No. 27 Boston College women's cross country team heads south to Blacksburg, Virginia for the ACC Championships on Friday, Nov. 1 at 11 a.m.

What to Know
- Boston College was picked 11th to start the season in the ACC Preseason Coaches' Poll. Based on the current USTFCCCA Coaches' Poll Rankings, BC is the fifth-best team in the conference.
- The Eagles entered 2019 dubbed "The Most Improved Team in the Northeast" after being selected third in the Northeast Regional Ranking to start the season.
- Emeline Delanis entered her first-ever cross country season on fire, competing with some of the best runners in the nation. She opened the season with a race win at the UMass Invitational and followed it up with a sixth-place finish at the Battle in Beantown with a time of 17:25.
- BC showed success at the Battle in Beantown against some of the best teams in the country. The Eagles placed five in the top-30 to finish in second at the meet.
- The Eagles had a successful race at the Pre-Nationals Invitational, placing ninth. The team outscored both Ole Miss and No. 13 Boise State, who were ranked higher than BC at the time of the meet. Leading the Eagles were Isabelle Kennedy and Lauren White, who finished in 30th and 34th, respectively.
