
BC Punches Ticket to NCAA Cross Country Championships

HOPKINTON, N.H. – Boston College Women's Cross Country took home top honors Friday afternoon, winning the 2025 NCAA Cross Country Northeast Regional at Hopkinton Fairgrounds. It is the women's third regional championship overall and first championship since 2006.
Imogen Gardiner bolted out to an early lead, staying in the top three throughout the three loops. She used a last kick to cross the 6k finish line as the runner-up at 19:53.8 and secured All-Region honors. Her second-place finish is the highest finish for a Boston College individual runner since Isabelle Kennedy did it in 2016.
Following close behind for a top-five finish was Ella Fadil. She crossed the line at 19:56.2, crushing her previous best by over 25 seconds to secure her highest finish in 11 cross country races and garner All-Region honors.
Next in the Boston College lineup was Kyra Holland, who took 12th place with a time of 20:19.4 to earn All-Region honors. Concluding the scoring runners were Molly FitzPatrick (20:27.0) in 19th place and Elizabeth Barlow (20:31.2) in 22nd place.
Abby Lewis took home 46th place with a time of 20:54.9, and Gabrielle Hamel made her collegiate debut on the 6k racecourse, finishing in 66th place at 21:09.5.
The Eagles qualified for the NCAA Cross Country Championships with their first-place finish. The team will travel to Columbia, Missouri, and compete for the championship race on Friday, November 21, on the Gans Creek Cross Country Course.
