Eagles Suffer Setback at Top-Ranked Virginia
October 27, 2019 | Women's Soccer
Gaby Carreiro scored her fifth goal of the season, ending a seven-game shutout streak for UVA.
Virginia struck twice in the first half for a 2-0 lead at the break and then added two more early in the second stanza. Carreiro's fifth goal of the season put an end to UVA's 775 minute, seven-game shutout streak. The Eagles will conclude the regular season on Thursday, Oct. 31 with a 7 p.m. game against No. 15 Clemson at the Newton Campus Fields.
