The Boston College women's golf team placed 11th overall at the Palmetto Intercollegiate at Turtle Point Golf course in Kiawah Island, South Carolina. The tournament was hosted by Charleston as 22 teams competed from Oct. 13-15.
Junior Bibilani Liu was 10th overall, with a 1-under par total of 215. She opened the tournament with a 74 but followed it up with a second round of 70. Liu closed out the final round with a 71. For the tournament, Liu led the tournament with 16 birdies, including six in the first round and duplicated it in the second round. She was tied in fourth in par 5 scoring (4.67, -4) and was even in par 3 scoring.
Freshman Ananya Barthakur placed tied in 42nd at +7. She was +2 over in the final round and +5 in the second round. Barthakur opened the tournament even (72) as she was -2 in the first nine holes. She was tied in fourth in the par 5 scoring (4.67, -4) and even in par 3 scoring.
This was the final match of the fall season for the Eagles. The team will resume action in the Gold Rush Intercollegiate, hosted by Long Beach State on Feb. 24-25. The tournament is played at Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach, California.
