Two Game Road Swing for Eagles

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's basketball team will embark on a two-game ACC road swing this week. The Eagles (11-4, 0-2) will play at Wake Forest (9-5, 0-1) on Thursday at the LJVM Coliseum (7 p.m.). The game will be carried on NESN Plus and ACC Network Extra.

BC will then head to Pittsburg (9-6, 0-1) to play the Panthers on Sunday at the Petersen Events Center (1 p.m.). This game will be on NESN and the ACC Network Extra.

Boston College is coming off a tough home loss to No. 9 NC State on Sunday at Conte Forum. The Eagles fell, 85-69, despite 17 points and 10 rebounds from freshman Makayla Dickens and 17 points and seven rebounds from Emma Guy.

BC vs. WAKE FOREST
- Wake Forest opened up ACC action against Miami at home. The Deacs lost, 72-57, Sunday at home. Alex Sharp led Wake Forest with 15 points, while Ivana Raca had 13 points and 10 rebounds.
- Boston College and Wake Forest (9-5, 0-1) have played 16 times. The two teams never played outside of the ACC action.
- BC won the first three meetings.
- The Eagles have lost the last four meetings against Wake Forest.
- The last time BC defeated Wake Forest was on Feb. 12, 2015 (75-74).
- Last season Wake Forest defeated the Eagles at Conte Forum, 67-59.
- Boston College is 2-6 at Wake Forest.

BC vs. PITTSBURGH
- Pittsburgh opened the ACC season at No. 1 Notre Dame on Jan. 3. The Panthers lost 100-44. They are on the road at NC State on Thursday night.
- Head Coach Lance White is in his first season at Pittsburgh. White was at Florida State as an assistant for nine seasons, then promoted to associate head coach in 2012-13.
- The BC/Pitt series dates back to 1983 when the teams first met at Boston College. BC lost the game on Jan. 31, 70-62.
- BC leads the overall series, 27-18.
- BC's first win vs. Pittsburgh (9-6, 0-1) took place on Jan. 8, 1986 (69-57). Former BC small forward Marie Grant had 13 points and 14 rebounds.
- Since Pitt joined the ACC, the Panthers are 3-2 against the Eagles.
- Last year BC defeated Pittsburgh, 72-61, behind 23 points from Georgia Pineau. Milan Bolden-Morris chipped in with 15 points.

- BC leads the ACC in offensive rebounds and is sixth in the country (18.0 rpg.). The Eagles are 34^th overall in rebound margin in the country and sixth in the ACC (+8.1).
- The Eagles are sixth in the conference in scoring margin (+17.5) and fourth in scoring offense (79.7). BC is sixth in the conference in field goal percentage (44.5%).
- Junior Georgia Pineau has led the team in scoring twice, rebounding six times and assists four times. She now has 202 career assists and is just two points from 700 career points.
- Junior Taylor Ortlepp needs just 18 assists to reach 200 career helpers. She is also 15 points from 700 career points. She also has 122 career three-pointers, which moves 10th overall in program history behind Kristin Doherty '14 (130).
- Junior Emma Guy has led BC in scoring in three out of the last four games. She had a career-high 25 vs. Campbell, 23 vs. Dartmouth and 17 vs. NC State. Guy is also shooting 69 percent from the floor (33-for-48) & averaging 15.2 points and 8.4 rebounds in the last five games. She is third overall it the ACC in field goal percentage (62.7%).
- Freshman Makayla Dickens posted her first career double-double (17 points, 10 rebounds) vs. NC State on Sunday. Dickens is averaging 11.6 points and 4.9 rebounds a game. She has scored in double-figures in the last three games, and in nine game this season.

PLAY4KAY GAME
- This year the Play4Kay Initiative game will be played on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. It is also scheduled to be the annual Alumni Game. HISTORY LESSON
- On Jan. 10, 2010, former Eagles center Carolyn Swords grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds, along with 17 points in an 83-66 win over NC State. It was her ninth double-double of the season. Swords matched her career-high of 16 boards again on March 19, 2011 in a WNIT victory over St. Joe's at Conte Forum.
