Eagles Have Successful Day at Boston University

Three Eagles Win Individual Events at the BU Multi Team Meet
BOSTON, Mass. – The women's track and field team was back in action on Saturday afternoon for the Multi Team Meet at Boston University.
On the track, the Eagles placed three runners in the top four of the 800M. Gianna Bender placed second (2:11.81), Katherine DeLoreto placed third (2:18.60), and Anna Harmon placed fourth (2:19.37).
In the mile run, Jessica Martin ran a time of 5:06.73, and Emily Criscuolo ran a time of 5:08.91, which earned them fifth and sixth place finishes respectively.
Colleen Sliney won the 5000M run with a time of 18:03.37. Following her was Alison Burns in second with a time of 18:12.49, and Sarah Marvin in fourth with a time of 18:18.78.
Anna Oeser won the 3000M race with a time of 9:59.54. Fellow Eagle Caroline Barry crossed the line in second with a time of 10:07.58.
In the field, Abigail Gothers and Jessica Creedon placed in the top three of the high jump, each registering a distance of 1.60 meters.
Julia Lyons won the long jump for Boston College with a distance of 5.69 meters. Jessica Creedon finished fifth with a distance of 5.15 meters.
The 4x400M relay team of Abigail Gothers, Emma Taylor, Sarah Heckel, and Monica Heil finished in first with a time of 3:58.63.
The team competes again next Saturday (Jan. 25), at the John Thomas Terrier Classic at Boston University.
