AJ Dillon rushed for 149 yards in the first quarter in BC's victory over Holy Cross
In the game's first play from scrimmage, Dillon ran for 54 yards setting up a BC redzone opportunity. Â After a 17-yard pass to Tommy Sweeney set up 1st-and-goal, Dillon found the end zone from seven yards out, making it 7-0 with 13:46.
Dillon found the end zone on a bruising 74-yard run - his second-longest career TD rush - on BC's next possession, pushing it to 14-0. Â His third trip into the end zone - a seven-yard scamper - was set up by a 20-yard rush by Jeff Smith and a 26-yard reception by Kobay White from quarterback Anthony Brown. Â BC led 21-0 at the end of the first quarter.
Signal caller EJ Perry capped a 10-play, 58-yard drive early in the second quarter with a TD strike to Ben Glines - the first passing and receiving touchdowns, respectively for each player, pushing the score to 28-0. Â For the second straight week, first-half scoring would end on a pick-six. Junior cornerback Hamp Cheevers intercepted an Emmitt Clifford pass, returning it 81 yards for the score. BC led 34-0 at the half.
BC added two more touchdowns in the third quarter. Â Davon Jones made it 41-0, finding the end zone from one yard out with 9:46 to play in the period, capping a 10-play, 67-yard drive. Â CJ Lewis made his first TD reception as an Eagle with 4:20 left in the quarter, extending the advantage to 48-0.
With 1:38 remaining in the third, Holy Cross returned a blocked punt, as the Crusaders' Spencer Gilliam made initial contact and Cristos Argos returned the ball 32 yards for the score, which made it 48-7.
Matt McDonald and Hunter Long connected to start the fourth quarter to push it to 55-7, before Holy Cross again converted a blocked punt into a touchdown with 11 minutes left in regulation. Â The Crusaders' Mack Cortebein blocked the kick and Gilliam made his way 16 yards in for the TD.
Noah Jordan-Williams corralled his first career TD pass on a 65-yard connection from McDonald with just under 10 minutes to play, making it 62-14.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AJ Dillon scored three times in the first quarter, on runs of 7, 74, and 7 yards, respectively. Â He finished the game with six rushes for 149 yards - an average of 24.8 yards per carry.
- Over his last nine games, the All-American running back has rushed for 1,503 yards.
- Freshman running back David Bailey rushed for a career-best 80 yards on 11 carries.
- Several Eagles earned their first respective passing and receiving touchdowns. Â Late in the third quarter, CJ Lewis caught his first TD pass on a 33-yard strike from quarterback EJ Perry. Â On the first play of the fourth quarter, the duo of Matt McDonald and Hunter Long each made their first career touchdown pass and catch, respectively, from 35-yards out.
- In the fourth quarter, Noah Jordan-Williams converted his first career TD catch on a 65-yard pass from McDonald.
- Perry ended the game 9-of-12 passing for 95 yards and two touchdowns. Â He also ran four times for 37 yards.
- McDonald was 5-for-6 for 107 yards and two touchdown passes.
- Max Richardson led the Eagles with seven tackles, including four solo stops and two tackles-for-loss.

- Boston College registered 22 first downs en route to totalling 610 yards of offense.
- Twelve different BC receivers hauled in 16 passes. Â Noah Jordan-Williams, CJ Lewis, Michael Lewis, and Joey Lucchetti each had two apiece.
- Davon Jones made an impact on both sides of the ball. Â On offense, he rushed five times for 11 yards and a touchdown. Â Defensively, he made five tackles - two solo stops.
- John Lamot tallied five tackles (four solo) while Wyatt Ray had four tackles - two for a loss, including a sack - and a pass breakup.
- In addition to Hamp Cheevers' interception, Mehdi El-Attrach also tallied his first career pick midway through the third quarter.
- John Tessitore was 7-for-8 on point-after attempts on the afternoon. Â Colton Lichtenberg converted his lone attempt.
- BC was 5-for-14 on third-down conversions and 2-for-3 on fourth-down conversions.
