Former BC standout joins coaching staff
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- The Boston College softball team has announced former player Chloe Sharabba as a volunteer assistant coach. A two-time member of the All-ACC Honor Roll and a 2018 Boston College graduate, Sharabba is currently enrolled in the Woods Graduate College of Advancing Studies, working towards her Masters in Sports Administration.
Â
"We are excited to have Chloe back with the softball program," head coach Ashley Obrest said. "She was a captain, leader, role model and one of the most committed, dedicated, and competitive student-athletes I have ever coached.  I'm excited for her to see the game from a different perspective and have an immediate influence with our nine new comers.  Any time you can keep a standout former player involved in a coaching role, you have to take full advantage of that situation and that is something we did with Chloe."
Â
Named to the All-ACC First Team as a junior, Sharabba holds the second-most career runs scored (133), the second-most doubles hit (39) and the third most total bases (302) in program records. The Aliso Viejo, Calif. native started in all 201 games she played in for the Eagles, amassing 194 hits, 21 home runs, 95 RBI and a .312 batting average in her career, as well as a .941 fielding percentage.
