
Eagles Named IWLCA Academic Honor Squad

Team honored, three members named to Honor Roll
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's lacrosse team has been named a Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad for the 2017-18 academic year by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). Teams who achieve this honor boast a 3.0 or higher GPA for the respective year. Additionally, three student-athletes earned individual honors.
Graduate student midfielder Caroline Peters (Rockville, Md.) and senior attacks Tess Chandler (Hopkinton, Mass.) and Emma Schurr (Somers, N.Y.) were named to the IWLCA Zag Sports Division I Academic Honor Roll. Juniors, seniors, and graduate students who have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher are eligible.
Peters saw game action in seven contests, starting vs. Virginia Tech on April 14. Chandler, who added 50 goals and two assists for the Eagles, saw game time in every match up of the 2018 season. Schurr also saw game action in all 24 match ups of the season and contributed 23 goals and 16 assists. The Eagles, who made their second consecutive NCAA Championship run this season, capped off the season with a 22-2 overall record, going undefeated in ACC play.
