Sam Apuzzo Named ACC Scholar Athlete of the Year

Chestnut Hill, Mass - The accolades continue to roll in for junior Sam Apuzzo, as she was named 2018 ACC Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while six of her teammates were named to the 2018 All-ACC Academic team as announced today by the conference.

Apuzzo also landed on the All-ACC Academic team along with senior attack Tess Chandler, senior attack Kaileen Hart, senior attack Emma Schurr, senior defender Carly Bell, junior defender Elizabeth Miller and junior midfielder Dempsey Arsenault. It marks the second time in program history the Eagles placed seven players on the All-ACC Academic team. The first occurred in 2011.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career for undergraduate students. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
