The Eagles host local veterans for sixth straight year
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -Â The Boston College baseball team will host its Sixth Annual Military Appreciation Game on Saturday, May 5 against Louisville at 4 p.m. Teaming up with Wounded Warrior Project and Home Base, the Eagles will honor current and former U.S. military members. Local veterans will be part of the game, which is sponsored by Boston's Sweet Cheeks.
Â
BC will wear its specially-designed Under Armour military appreciation uniforms, the third edition of the Eagles' kits. They debuted this year's new look on March 23 in a 7-4 victory over Virginia Tech.
Â
On Thursday, May 3, local military veterans will participate in a softball game with the baseball team at Harrington Athletics Village at 3:30 p.m.
Â
Jeremiah Pauley, an 11-year U.S. Army veteran, will speak to the Eagles and veterans after the softball game. They will also participate in a "Backpack Build," preparing bags filled with essential care and comfort items designed to make a hospital stay more comfortable.
