Opener vs. Pitt Postponed

The Eagles and Panthers will start the series on Saturday

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College baseball team's Atlantic Coast Conference series opener against Pittsburgh slated for Friday evening was postponed during to inclement weather. The Eagles (9-17. 4-8 ACC) and Panthers (15-10, 4-8 ACC) will play a doubleheader on Saturday, April 7 beginning at 1 p.m.

The series will conclude with Sunday's 1 p.m. contest.

This is Pitt's second trip to The Heights since joining the ACC in 2014 the two teams are old BIG EAST rivals. The Panthers own a slight advantage in the all-time series, 26-24 and are 4-2 against the Eagles since becoming an ACC member.

All three games will be played at the Brighton Baseball Field, the Eagles' new home beginning in 2018. A dedication and naming ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 14 when Wake Forest comes to town.
