Scouting the Opponent:
- The Eagles participate in their sixth ACC series of the 2018 campaign when they host Notre Dame at the new Harrington Athletics Village at Brighton Fields in Brighton, Mass.
- BC has a 8-27 all-time record vs. the Fighting Irish. Notre Dame has won 11 of the last 12 meetings between the two teams. The Fighting Irish have outscored the Maroon and Gold 63-32 in the last seven match-ups.
- Historically, The Eagles are 3-9 at home against the Fighting Irish.
- The last time BC defeated Notre Dame was in 2017 when the Eagles bested the Fighting Irish, 6-5.
- The last time BC won a series against Notre Dame was in 1998 when Boston College was in the Big East.
- Heading into the weekend, Notre Dame is second in the Atlantic standings of the ACC with an 11-6 conference record. BC is right behind them at 9-5 with a record that consists of less conference losses than the Irish.
- Abby Sweet leads Notre Dame with a .353 batting average in conference play and 13 runs scored.
- Ali Wester has posted a .339 batting average this season in ACC action with a team-leading 20 hits.
- Alexis Holloway has appeared in a team-leading 14 games for the Fighting Irish in conference play and has posted a 2.03 ERA with seven complete game and six wins.
- Katie Beriont has been in the circle for four ACC wins for the Irish, recording a 2.26 ERA.

The Pitching Staff:
- Senior Jessica Dreswick continues her work-horse ways into the 2018 season. As of Apirl 19, she is tied for third in the ACC in games started with 25. She is fifth in innings pitched (150.0), tied for seventh in appearances (31) and tied for fifth in complete games with 12.
- The right-hander is also sixth in opponent batting average (.207).
- Dreswick is fifth in the ACC with 144 strikeouts and 40th in the nation. She is also seventh in the conference in strikeouts looking (32).
- Dreswick threw a career-high 11 strikeouts against Texas State on Feb. 12 and Central Connecticut on Feb. 25. She has recorded eight or more strikeouts in a single game seven times this season.
- In the BC record books, Dreswick has the most games started of any pitcher in BC history with 100 starts.
- On April 18 at Massachusetts, Dreswick tied the record for the most wins in BC history with her 55th career victory.
- Redshirt junior Allyson Frei threw a total of 405 pitches over 24.1 innings pitched against FIU in the FIU Classic. As of April 19, she held a 1.85 ERA, which is good for fifth in the conference. She is eighth in the league with 110 strikeouts. The right-hander became the first ACC pitcher to shutout No. 13 Florida State on April 13 while tossing eight strikeouts and only the second ACC pitcher to earn a win against the top-ranked program.
- As of April 16, the Boston College pitching staff is ranked 28th in the nation with a 2.08 ERA and tied for second in the ACC behind top-ranked Florida State.
- Opponents are hitting .212 against Dreswick and Frei. Together, the right-handers have struck out 255 batters, which is third in the conference.
- Entering the ninth week of the season, senior Chloe Sharabba leads the team with 33 runs scored. She has 41 hits, including 12 doubles and six home runs. She has also picked up 19 RBIs and drawn a team-leading 22 walks, resulting in a .461 on base percentage and a .628 slugging percentage.
- Sharabba is 13th in the ACC with a .352 batting average. She is eighth in slugging percentage (.600) and tied for seventh in on base percentage (.453). The senior is tied for second in the conference with 12 doubles. Sharabba is tied for sixth in the conference with 31 runs scored.
- Senior Annie Murphy leads the ACC in conference batting average with a .479 batting average. She is eighth overall with a .359 batting average. She is first in the conference and 47th in the nation as one of the toughest batters to strike out with a value of 22.0.
- The Boston College softball team historic win streak ended at 13 games with a loss to Florida State on April 13, besting the previous record of 10 which was set in 1995. The winning streak begun against Virginia on March 23.
- During the winning streak, BC recorded a .296 team batting average and scored 85 runs, while run-ruling its opponent four times. The Eagles scored a season-high 16 runs in the victory over the Friars. In game two versus Syracuse, BC hit two home runs in one inning for the first time all season. The team collected 97 hits, including six home runs. BC also drew 62 walks during the streak, posting a .423 team on base percentage. Dreswick and Frei had a combined 1.47 ERA during the streak and allowed just 18 earned runs.
- BC began the season with an RPI of 132. As of April 16, the Maroon and Gold have an RPI of 55.
- The Eagles have proven to be a difficult team to run against as they are second in the ACC with 12 caught stealings.
