- The Noles enter with an 8-9 conference record, taking series from Louisville, Notre Dame and at North Carolina. They lost series at Georgia Tech and at Wake Forest, but picked up a conference victory in each.

THE SERIES
- The Eagles host 17th-ranked Florida State in a three-game set beginning on Friday.
- The second game of the series will be played at America's oldest ballpark - Fenway Park - on Saturday as the Eagles' Seventh Annual ALS Awareness Game in honor of former captain Pete Frates (2004-07). The game will be broadcast on ESPNU.
- It will be the 38th time BC plays at the iconic venue. The Eagles hold a 27-10-1 record on the hallowed grounds.
- The contest marks the second ACC game at Fenway Park after last year's ALS Awareness Game against NC State was the first. BC collected an 8-3 victory and went on to sweep the series.
- The Seminoles hold a 31-5 all-time series advantage over the Eagles and have won 12 of the 14 games played on BC's home turf.
- The Noles have also earned series wins in every meeting since 2006, when Boston College joined the ACC.
- Every time the two squads have met, Florida State has been ranked, including the top spot in the nation four times.
- Last year, the Eagles started conference play with a victory over No. 2 FSU in Tallahassee, but the Noles earned a doubleheader victory to take the series.
- The last time BC earned a victory over FSU was in 2012 with a 17-6 Sunday victory when the Noles were the No. 1 ranked team.
WHAT'S GOING ON WITH THE EAGLES

- Galland was caught stealing for the first time on Tuesday after stealing 26 bases. He is 26-for-27 on the year, which is second in the country and first in the ACC.
