Eagles Finish Indoor Season at ECAC Championships

Julia Lyons became the ECAC Champion in the long jump
BOSTON, Mass. – Select members of the Boston College women's track and field team competed at the ECAC Championships at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center. The women finished tied in 16th place overall with 20 points out of 41 teams. Liberty won the meet with 84.5 points.

Sophomore Julia Lyons became the ECAC Champion in the long jump with a jump of 5.82 meters.

The majority of the Eagles have now concluded their indoor season. Junior Paige Duca will compete in the one mile run at the NCAA Championships at Texas A&M on March 9-10 to conclude her indoor season.

BC Highlights:
- Junior Molly McCabe finished in fifth place in the 500 meter run with a time of 1:13.52.
- Senior Julia Barron finished close behind McCabe in eighth place with a time of 1:14.71 in the 500.
- Senior Laura Leff finished in seventh place in the 3000 meter run, crossing the line in 9:42.75.
- The distance medley relay team of senior Julia Gregory, sophomore Emma Taylor, senior Shannon Ahern and freshman Miranda Thompson took sixth place in the event with a time of 11:45.44.
- Lyons shined in the field events for BC, winning the long jump with a jump of 5.82 meters to become the ECAC Champion in the event.
