Preseason ACC Poll Released

BC slated to finish third, and has four tabbed to preseason All-ACC team
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College lacrosse was tabbed to finish third in the Atlantic Coast Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, the conference announced on Wednesday.

The Eagles received 48 points overall as well as two first-place votes after finishing third in the ACC following last season's 17-7 overall record and 3-4 conference record.

North Carolina is predicted to finish first in the conference with 59 points and four first-point votes. The Eagles and the Tar Heels will face off in Newton on March 24 at noon.

Syracuse also had two first-place votes, but took the second spot with 53 overall points. These squads will meet at the end of the regular season as BC hosts the April 19 matchup.

The Preseason All-ACC Team was also released on Wednesday. BC had four players named to the team including attacker Sam Apuzzo, midfielder Dempsey Arsenault, defenseman Elizabeth Miller and goalkeeper Lauren Daly.Â

Boston College will kick off the 2018 season when it plays Notre Dame on Feb. 10.
