November 07, 2018 | Men's Soccer
Enstrom earns a spot on the All-ACC Second Team, Konradsson tabbed for All-Freshman Team.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Two members of the Boston College men's soccer team have earned Atlantic Coast Conference honors for their performances during the 2018 season, the league office announced on Wednesday. Senior Simon Enstrom earned his second career all-conference honor while freshman Kristofer Konradsson got his first.
Â
Enstrom was placed on the second team as a forward. Enstrom led the Eagles with 19 points this season, scoring nine goals while assisting on another. Four of the captain's goals were game-winning scores, tied for second in the conference, and he also led the team and finished second in the ACC with 49 shots. Enstrom finished his BC career with 75 points on 31 goals and 13 assists, good for fifth all-time in program history. His 31 goals place him tied for second in program history. Enstrom finished his career with sixth multi-goal games and 10 multi-point outings. On Sept. 10, Enstrom was named the ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week after playing a part in all three goals in BC's 3-2 win over Clemson. Â Â
Â
The midfielder Konradsson earned an All-Freshman nod. Konradsson had a team-high four assists and added two goals to finish second on the squad with eight points. His 36 shots tied for 10th overall in the ACC and second on the team. Konradsson tallied his first and second career goals at UConn on Oct. 16. The Iceland native finished the season with 1,185 minutes played, second amongst BC rookies.
Enstrom earning a spot on the All-ACC Second Team marks the first time an Eagle has done so since Zeiko Lewis did it in 2015 and BC's first all-conference nod since Lewis was on the 2016 All-ACC First Team. Konradsson's All-Freshman spot is the first for the Eagles since Lasse Lehmann's in 2016. Enstrom was an all-conference rookie in 2016.Â
