Boston College (12-3-0, 9-1-0 Hockey East) is coming off a 5-0 win at Holy Cross on Saturday afternoon. Kelly Browne scored twice and Delaney Belinskas notched her first goal of the season while Molly Barrow made 16 stops for her first career shutout and win. It was the fourth consecutive victory for the Eagles, and the third consecutive game in which the team has scored at least four goals and had at least three different goal scorers. Megan Keller (6-11-17) and Makenna Newkirk (4-13-17) are tied for the team lead in points, with Newkirk's 13 assists leading the team while Daryl Watts has a team-high eight goals.

Northeastern (11-1-2, 10-0-2 Hockey East) will carry the nation's longest unbeaten streak into the game, having not lost in its last 11 contests. The Huskies last played on Nov. 17, tying Maine 3-3 on the road. The lone loss of the season for Northeastern came on Oct. 12 when it fell to Colgate, 3-2, before bouncing back for a 5-2 win the next day to kick off the current unbeaten streak. A pair of rookies lead the Huskies in scoring in Alina Mueller (9-12-21) and Chloe Aurard (7-12-19). In goal, Aerin Frankel and Brittany Bugalski have been splitting time. Frankel, who is tied for the national shutout lead with four, boasts a 0.72 goals against average and .972 save percentage while Bugalski sports a 1.96 goals against a .926 save percentage.

This is the first meeting in which both teams are ranked since Nov. 26, 2016, when the then sixth-ranked Eagles topped the tenth-ranked Huskies, 4-2. BC is 43-36-7 all-time against Northeastern since elevating to Division I status for the 1995-96 season.

• In addition to help Boston College second in the country in goals against per game (1.27), the Eagles' defensive corps is first in the nation in points (46) and and points per game (3.07).
• The Eagles have three players in Megan Keller, Cayla Barnes and Grace Bizal that sit in the top 15 in the country defensemen scoring, the most of any team ... Keller (6-11-17) leads all blue liners in points while Barnes (3-10-13) is fourth and Bizal (2-8-10) is tied for 14th
• Barnes is the only rookie blue liner to crack the top 10 in points.
• BC defensemen have scored 12 goals, second overall, and have scored seven power-play goals, which ties for first.
• Blue liners have scored four game-winning goals for BC, tops in the country.
• The BC defense has chipped in on 25% of the squad's goals (12/48), 40% of the assists (34/85) and 35% of the overall points (46/133).
IT'S WORTH NOTING
• Freshman Kelly Browne is second amongst Hockey East rookies in faceoff wins with 126 and seventh overall in the league.
• Daryl Watts is averaging 4.80 shots on goal per game, which is fourth overall in Hockey East.
• Cayla Barnes leads BC with 21 blocks.
• The Eagles are 10-0-0 this season when Barnes or Caitrin Lonergan notches at least one point and 9-0-0 when Lindsay Agnew does.
• BC started Hockey East play 5-0-0 for the first time since the 2015-16 season ... the team finished league play a perfect 24-0-0 that year.
McARTHUR MAKING HER MARK
• With 11 wins so far this season, Maddy McArthur sits tied for second in the country - and first among rookies - in victories.
• Overall, McArthur's 1.29 goals against average is fourth and her .940 save percentage is ninth in the nation ... those numbers rank second and fourth, respectively, for goalies who have played at least 13 games.
• She's posted four shutouts this season, which ties for the national lead and sits tied for sixth all-time in program history.
• She went a program-record eight games without allowing more than one goal ... it was the longest such streak in the NCAA since the beginning of the 2017-18 season.
• McArthur has four shutouts, a 1.00 goals against average and a .950 save percentage in her last 10 games.
• The freshman earned her first career shutout with a 25-save performance in BC's 3-0 win over Vermont on Oct. 20 ... she earned her second shutout with 19 saves against UConn on Nov. 1 and has gone on to blank the Huskies two other times (Nov. 16-17).
• McArthur has earned two Hockey East Rookie of the Week accolades this season.
