BOSTON COLLEGE IN ACC PLAY

Boston College is 71-133 (.348) in 12 seasons in the ACC.
The Eagles began conference play with an 89-84 win over top-ranked Duke on Dec. 9 at Conte Forum.
Last season, the Eagles finished with a 2-16 mark in league play.
The Eagles' best ACC mark came in its inaugural season, going 11-5 in conference play in 2005-06 en route to a third place finish.
BC finished tied for third in 2006-07 (10-6) and fourth in 2010-11 (9-7).

CHAT SESSION

Jordan Chatman is averaging 21.0 points per game over the last five games.
Last time out at Virginia, Chatman scored 18 points on just seven shots.
Chatman made 5-of-7 from the floor (4-5 3FG) and 4-of-4 from the FT line.
The junior tied his career-high with 30 points vs. Richmond on Dec. 30.
He made 10-of-16 shots from the floor vs. UR - including seven 3-pointers.
Over the last five games, the 6-5 guard has made 23-of-38 from beyond the arc - good for a 60.5% clip.
The junior from Vancouver, Wash. poured in 22 points in the win over top-ranked Duke, playing all 40 minutes.
He has five career games with at least 20 points - including another 30-point game at Virginia Tech where he hit nine 3FG.
Chatman leads the Eagles with 35 3-pointers and is third in scoring at 14.6 points per game.

KY BOWMAN: THE MOST CONSISTENT PLAYER IN THE COUNTRY

Ky Bowman is the only player in the country to average at least 15.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game.
Bowman's 6.8 boards per game average is the best nationally among players that are 6-1 or under.
Bowman is also the only player in the ACC to rank among the top 10 in scoring and assists and top 20 in rebounding.
He ranks ninth in the ACC in scoring, 16th in rebounding, and is fifth in assists.
Among the top 10 conferences (per KenPom), only six players rank among the top 10 in scoring and assists and top 20 in rebounding: Jevon Carter (WVU), Caleb Martin (Nevada), Chandler Hutchison (Boise St.), Malik Yarbrough (Illinois St.) and Peyton Aldridge (Davidson).
Prior to the Dec. 30 game at Virginia, he was the only player in the nation to have at least 10 pts/3 reb/3 asst in every game.

TODAY'S BOSTON COLLEGE NOTE(S) YOU CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT

Steffon Mitchell is poised to become the sixth Boston College freshman to lead the team in rebounds/game since 1972-73.
The freshman from Shakopee, Minn. would be the fourth BC player to average better than 7.0 rebounds per game as a frosh.
The others: Ryan Anderson (2011-12, 7.4 rpg); Craig Smith (2002-03, 7.9); Danya Abrams (1993-94, 7.1).
Anderson ranked seventh in the ACC in rebounding, while Smith was seventh and Abrams 10th in the Big East.
Mitchell currently ranks 10th in the ACC in rebounding, at 7.6 boards per outing.

CHATMAN CONNECTING OVER LAST FIVE

Jordan Chatman has connected on 23 of his last 38 attempts from beyond the arc - good for a 60.5% shooting percentage.
Last time out, Chatman made 4-of-5 attempts from 3-point land. It was his fourth game with at least four 3FG during that span.
He has improved his 3FG% over the last five games by 15 percentage points - from 30.0% through the first eight games to 44.9% for the season.
Chatman ranks fourth in the ACC in 3-point FG percentage and is fifth in the league in 3FG made (2.69 3FG/g).

ROLLIN' ON 20's

Jerome Robinson has scored 20 or more points on six occasions this season. The Eagles are 5-1 in those games.
The lone loss was a 29-point performance in a one-point loss (59-58) at #9/9 Virginia on Dec. 30.
The All-ACC guard posted three straight 20-point performances: 23 at Hartford, 24 vs. #1/1 Duke, and 21 vs. Columbia.
On the 24 occasions in which the junior guard have scored 20 or more points in his career, BC is 13-11.

Boston College is 10-9 all-time in games played on January 3. Last year, BC lost, 79-66, at Wake Forest on Jan. 3, 2017.

CONFERENCE CALL

Boston College and Syracuse are the only two teams that have three players rank in the top 20 in the ACC in scoring.
Jerome Robinson (6th, 17.2), Ky Bowman (9th, 15.9) and Jordan Chatman (t20th, 14.6) rank among the league's top scorers.
Additionally, BC and Miami are the only two teams with three players ranking among the top 25 in the ACC in rebounding.
Steffon Mitchell (10th, 7.6), Ky Bowman (16th, 6.9), and Nik Popovic (t23rd, 6.0) are three of the league's top rebounders.

STEFFON THE STAT SHEET STUFFER

Fourteen games into his collegiate career, and Steffon Mitchell has proven to be a versatile contributor for the Eagles.
In 12 of the 14 games so far this season, Mitchell has led the team in either scoring, rebounding, assists, blocks, or steals.
Mitchell grabbed a team-best 14 rebounds vs. CCSU. He was also BC's top rebounder against Richmond, Nebraska, Colgate, Texas Tech and Sacred Heart.
He led BC in steals in the Duke, Hartford, and S.C. State games. He was also the top assist man at Virginia and Hartford.
The 6-8 forward was the team shot blocker leader against Virginia,Texas Tech, Nebraska, and Providence.
The Shakopee, Minn. native led BC in scoring with 21 points versus S.C State.
La Salle and Columbia are the only games this season in which he has not led Boston College in a stat category.

THE NEW BIG THREE: PLAYING THE PERCENTAGES

Through the first seven games of the season (prior to the Nebraska game), Ky Bowman accounted for 19.9% of the offense. Jerome Robinson (19.1%), Deontae Hawkins (17.5) and Jordan Chatman (13.1) accounted for 70.0% of the BC scoring.
Since the Hartford game, Robinson (25.9), Chatman (25.7), and Bowman (22.0) account for 73.6% of the offensive output.
