- Between 1978 and 1989, the program met 11 times with BC leading the series 7-3-1, including a 4-1-1 mark at home and a 3-2-0 record in Durham
HOT START

CLAIMING CLEAN SHEETS
- Boston College has posted back-to-back shutouts to open the season, allowing just nine shots on goal in the two contests against Quinnipiac and New Hampshire
- The last time BC opened the season with back-to-back defensive shutouts was 1978 – a 2-0 win over Stonehill and a 2-0 win at Nichols
ACING THE ATTACK
- With four goals in each of its first two games, this is the first time BC has scored at least four goals in back-to-back games since 2006
- That season, the Eagles topped Quinnipiac 5-1 and NC State 5-1 on Sept. 26 and 29, respectively
ENSTROM'S ENGINE GETS GOING
- Simon Enstrom has wasted little time opening expanding his scoring account this season
- In the team's first two games, he has a team-high six points from two goals and two assists and has picked up three points in each of the two contests
- Last Friday in the season opener, he took Younes Boudadi's poke pass ahead and first-timed it past the Quinnipiac goaltender on the near post for his first goal of the year ... he also added an assist on Joshua Forbes' goal
- On Sunday at Boston University, he had the secondary assist on Nikita Bondar's goal - the game's second - and then tallied the team's final goal to push the score to 4-0
CALLUM'S CALM DELIVERY
- Callum Johnson enters Friday's game ranked second on the team in scoring with five points (two goals, one assist)
- In each of the Eagles' two games, he's launched long-range shots that have found the back of the net.
- On Friday against Quinnipiac, his 25-yard squirming shot found the upper 90, and then on Sunday, he sent a hard, heavy shot on target at BU from 25 yards and again converted
- In 2016 as a freshman, he had three goals in 21 games, and now has two goals in two games this season
BOUDADI GETS HIS DEFENSIVE DUE
- For his efforts on both sides of the ball last weekend, Younes Boudadi claimed ACC Defensive Player of the Week honors on Monday
- It was his first conference honor of his career, and the Eagles' first weekly award since October 2016 when Trevor Davock was the Offensive Player of the Week
- On top of playing a key role in the team's two defensive shutouts, he also added three assists - the first points of his career - in the Eagles' pair of 4-0 wins
NEWCOMERS MAKING A MARK
- The Eagles' newcomers have been making their mark this season already
- Nikita Bondar has already registered one goal and one assist, with at least one point in each game
- Heidar Aegisson has started both games in the central midfield, and recorded two assists - both coming in the season opener against Quinnipiac
- Beto Luna also picked up his first assist of his career on Sunday at BC with the primary set-up on Bondar's goal
- Anthony Chavez Borrelli has entered both games at halftime in goal, making a total of six saves - including five against Quinnipiac - to preserve shutouts
- Jose Palomo and Ian Buehler also made their collegiate debuts at BU on Sunday
FORBES SET FOR HIS RETURN
- Joshua Forbes is set to return this weekend after sitting out Sunday's game at BU while serving a one-game red card suspension
- Last Friday against Quinnipiac, he tallied his first goal of the season - and his first goal in almost a full calendar year - when he first-timed Simon Enstrom's backheeled pass just inside the area
- However, 20 minutes later, he was shown a straight red card for his response to a play while attempting to save a ball going over the end line
