BC HIGHLIGHTS
- The Boston College women's track and field team took to Princeton University this weekend to compete in the Larry Ellis Invitational.
- Senior Claudia DiSomma got the action underway for the Eagles, posting a season-best time in the 800m of 2:09.06. DiSomma was also the sixth-best collegiate finisher in the event.
- The Eagles had a slew of impressive performances in the 5K race. Junior Isabelle Kennedy earned a second-place overall finish, with a season-best time of 16:24.17. Senior Catherine Maloy (16:57.48), junior Ashbrook Gwinn (17:25.21) and sophomore Sarah Marvin (17:44.19) also all turned in personal-best setting performances in the event.
- In the javelin, senior Fallyn Boich claimed a third-place finish among collegiate competitors with her toss of 42.69m (140-01), also setting a season-best mark in the process.
- Senior Robin Gross posted a season-best time following her performance in the 400m. Gross finished 11th among collegiate competitors with her time of 57.96, her first time under the 58-second mark this season. Freshman Monica Heil also cracked a new season-best time, going 58.73, just one one-hundredth of a second below her previous season-best in the event.
- Boston College had two of its strongest performances on the day in the 400m hurdles. Junior Julia Barron and freshman Emma Taylor. Barron took home second place in 1:01.57, while Taylor crossed the line in 1:02.23, good for sixth place. Both athletes posted personal bests, while Barron's time, an ACC qualifier, also marked the second-best time in program history.
- The Eagles closed the meet on a high note following the 4x400m relay. The squad of freshman Monica Heil, DiSomma, Gross and junior Molly McCabe combined for a time of 3:49.12 that was good for second-place overall.

The Eagles will return to competition back close to home next weekend, where they will compete in the Skyhawk Invitational on Saturday April 29, hosted by Stonehill University in North Easton, Mass.
