BC HIGHLIGHTS
- The Eagles swept the series and have won six of their last seven games.
- BC won both games in walk-off fashion in extra innings.
- Junior Chloe Sharabba extended her hit streak to 10 games and hit a home run.
- Junior Jessica Dreswick (14-4) won both games, allowing no earned runs and striking out 12 in 11 innings.
- The Eagles struck out eight hitters in Game 1 and nine batters in Game 2.
Game 2
TURNING POINT
Sophomore Dani Thomas stood on third with the score tied in the bottom of the eighth. Syracuse threw a passed ball, and Thomas jetted. The throw home was on time, but it was dropped as Thomas slid safely to give BC the walk-off win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the top of the second, Syracuse's Bryce Holmgrem walked and Faith Cain singled through the left side. Senior Jordan Weed struck out two straight batters, but Kelsey Johnson singled to left to score Holmgren for the Orange's 1-0 lead.
- Sharabba led off the top of the seventh with a home run to center that tied the game, 1-1, to force extra innings.
- Dreswick, pitching in relief, escaped a jam in the top of the eighth. Syracuse's first two batters reached. However, Dreswick induced three straight outs to strand them on second and third.
- Thomas recorded a bunt single to lead off the bottom of the eighth. Senior Taylor Coroneos hit a sacrifice grounder to push her to second. Thomas stole third, and Chimento was hit by a pitch, putting runners at the corners.
- Senior Tatiana Cortez stepped up to the plate for a potential walk-off situation. Syracuse threw a passed ball in her at bat, allowing Thomas to pounce for her game-winning run.
Game 1
TURNING POINT
Sophomore Allyson Moore batted in the bottom of the eighth with Sharabba on second and Cortez on third. Moore fouled off pitch after pitch in her 14-pitch at bat. She finally doubled to center to score Cortez to score for the walk-off win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Syracuse's Hannah Dossett walked to lead off the top of the third in the scoreless game. Olivia Martinez reached on an error, allowing Dossett to reach third. Toni Martin made contact, and BC forced out Martinez. Dossett scored on the play for the unearned run, giving the Orange a 1-0 lead.
- Dreswick did not allow a hit until the sixth inning.
- BC entered the bottom of the seventh down, 1-0. Freshman Brenna Griesser hit a single and advanced to second off a fielder's choice. Coroneos doubled to center to score Griesser and tie it, 1-1.
- Dreswick's strong pitching continued in extras. She retired the side in the top of the eighth.
- Cortez walked, and Sharabba doubled to advance her to third, setting up Moore's heroics.
UP NEXT
The Eagles will next host Central Connecticut State on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Shea Field.
