TURNING POINT
The Minutewomen broke a scoreless tie in the top of the fifth. Madison Gimpl led off with a walk and advanced to second on a sacrifice. Candace Denis pushed Gimpl to third with a single to left. Erin Stacevicz scored Gimpl and gave UMass a 1-0 lead with a sacrifice fly to center.

- Junior Annie Murphy went 1-for-3. She has reached base in eight straight games, recording a .407 on-base percentage in that stretch.
- Freshman Brenna Griesser batted 1-for-3 with one RBI.
- The Eagles are 6-2 at home.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Dreswick and UMass pitcher Meg Colleran dueled for the first four innings, keeping the game scoreless.
- UMass scored a pair in the fifth to take a 2-0 lead. Following Sacevicz's sacrifice fly, Kaitlyn Stavinoha hit an RBI double to left center.
- Sophomore Lexi DiEmmanuele singled to the shortstop and advanced to third on the shortstop's throwing error in the bottom of the fifth. Griesser grounded out to the pitcher, and DiEmmanuele rushed home, reducing the UMass lead to 2-1.
- Dreswick retired the final seven batters, but the Minutewomen held on for the victory.
