• Senior Tatiana Cortez set the program record for career RBI and tied the team records for career home runs and RBI in a single game in the doubleheader March 8 against Penn and USF.
• Cortez recorded seven RBI against Penn with a grand slam and a three-run home run. Only two other Eagles have recorded a seven-RBI game: Jenna Macchi (March 31 and April 10, 2007) and Tory Speer (May 5, 2011).
• The three-run home run against Penn gave Cortez 135 RBI, tying Speer's career record. Cortez then broke her record with a two-run home run against USF, giving her 137 RBI.
• Cortez's home run against the Bulls gave her 41 in her career, tying Speer for the program record.
• Cortez earned ACC Player of the Week on March 14 after hitting .500 with three home runs, 14 RBI and a 1.167 slugging percentage the previous week.
• Cortez ranks fourth in the ACC in home runs (seven) and fifth in RBI (27). She has also slugged .714.
• Cortez hit four home runs in the season-opening series in her hometown of Houston, including two home runs and in Feb. 11's season-opening win against Houston.

• Junior Jessica Dreswick's 2.11 walks allowed per seven innings is the second-lowest total in program history. The righty is right behind Allison Gage's ('11) 2.10 BB/7 for the team record.
• Junior Allyson Frei's 408 strikeouts rank fifth in BC history. Kim Ryan ('03) has the record with 710.

• The Eagles' defense ranks 39th nationally – and third in the ACC – in fielding percentage (.970).
• Junior Chloe Sharabba, who transitioned from second base to shortstop before this season, sits in sixth in the ACC with 49 assists.
• BC has only allowed 14 stolen bases, the second-fewest among ACC teams. Senior Tatiana Cortez has thrown out five runners (fifth in the ACC), while junior Jessica Dreswick has thrown out four (eighth in the conference).

PITCHING IN OFF THE FIELD
• Five players – senior Tatiana Cortez, sophomore Lexi DiEmmanuele and juniors Jessica Dreswick, Chloe Sharabba and Jordan Chimento – attended the Devlin S-AFE Trip in New Orleans in January. The trip, which many Boston College student-athletes attend every year, focuses on community service in partnership with the St. Bernard Project, helping rebuild homes destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.
• The entire team visited the Newton-Wellesley Hospital to provide gifts to and spend time with children currently receiving hospital care. BC coordinated the trip with the Jared Box Project, which provides gift boxes to chronically ill children receiving hospital treatment.
• The Eagles have also made several trips to The Boys & Girls Clubs throughout the nation. On the Devlin S-AFE Trip, members of the team read and played games with kids at The Boys & Girls Club.
• The Eagles also visited the organization March 7 in Tampa during their road trip.
