BC HIGHLIGHTS
- Junior Annie Murphy hit 4-for-5 with three runs, a double and a stolen base. She extended her hit streak to seven games.
- Senior Tatiana Cortez went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs. She has recorded two or more RBI in four of the last five games.
- Sophomore Allyson Moore batted 2-for-4 with a three-RBI triple and a run.
- Junior Chloe Sharabba hit 2-for-5 with a run and one RBI.
- Senior Taylor Coroneos went 2-for-5 with a run.
- Junior Jessica Dreswick (9-4) allowed only two earned runs in six innings.
TURNING POINT
Moore came up to bat with the bases loaded in the top of the third with the score tied, 3-3. She blasted it off the wall for a bases-clearing triple to give BC the 6-3 lead.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles scored took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first. Coroneos and Murphy each singled at the top of the order. Then junior Jordan Chimento walked. Virginia Tech pitcher Allison Davis threw a wild pitch, allowing Coroneos to slide home for BC's first run. Then Cortez hit a fly ball to the warning track to score Murphy.
- Virginia took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the first. The Cavaliers loaded the bases with a walk and two singles. Iyana Hughes recorded a two-RBI double to center. Then Ashlee Davis reached on an error, setting up Erika Osherow's sacrifice grounder that scored Danni Ingraham for Virginia's go-ahead run.
- Murphy led off the third with a double to right center. Chimento flied out to push Murphy to third. Then Cortez sent a dribbler into left field, scoring Murphy to tie the game, 3-3.
- Sharabba and sophomore Lexi DiEmmanuele followed Cortez with singles to load the bases for Moore's triple.
- Freshman Brenna Griesser hit it by the shortstop, reaching on an error to score Cortez for BC's 7-3 lead in the third.
- The Eagles added two more runs in the sixth, taking a 9-3 lead. Chimento hit a leadoff single, and freshman Olivia Markopoulos entered the game to pinch run. Cortez singled to left. Sharabba then singled with a line drive down the left-field line to score Markopoulos and make it 8-3.
- Later in the inning, Moore singled up the middle to load the bases. Sophomore Carly Severini grounded out to score Cortez and increase BC's lead to 9-3.
- Murphy singled through the left side and stole second in the top of the seventh. Chimento walked, and Murphy advanced to third on a passed ball. Cortez posted a sacrifice grounder to score Murphy and solidify BC's 10-3 lead.
