- With the win, BC moves to 10-8 all-time against Boston University and extends its win streak to eight games against the Terriers.
- Sophomore midfielder Sam Apuzzo led the Eagles in scoring, tallying a career-high six goals, including 3-for-5 success on free-positon shots.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Lauren Daly picked up her first career win, replacing senior Zoe Ochoa in the second half. She recorded six saves on 14 shots faced.
- BC dominated the draw circle. The team was successful in gaining possession in 21-of-26 draw controls in the contest. Junior midfielder Emma Schurr led the Eagles with four.
TURNING POINT
- Boston College took advantage of fouls by Boston University around the net. The Eagles scored five free-possession goals, including a 4-for-8 mark in the first half.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Boston College opened the scoring with 26:39 remaining in the half when Apuzzo notched her first of the game, assisted by Schurr.
- Less than a minute after taking the lead, BU scored two quick goals less than one minute apart to take a quick lead.
- The Eagles went on a three-goal run to reclaim the lead before trading goals with BU leading to a 7-7 tie at the half.
- BC struck first in the second half with a pair of goals from Apuzzo and senior midfielder Mary Kate O'Neill.
- Leading 9-8 with 22:36 left to play, the Eagles added another two goals to take their largest lead of the game at 11-8.
- BU again pulled within one goal with 5:56 to play, but the Eagles responded 14 seconds later to push the score line to its final 13-11 mark.
