BOSTON COLLEGE VS. CENTRAL CONNECTICUT - ALL-TIME SERIES

Today's game marks the fifth meeting between the Eagles and Blue Devils.
BC won the previous meeting, 82-57, on Nov. 19, 2015.
Jerome Robinson had 15 points and four assists in the win.
BC opponents Duke and CCSU are the two Division I teams with the nickname Blue Devils.

THE COLUMBIA GAME - TRENDS, FACTS, FIGURES, AND OTHER STUFF

All five Boston College starters reached double figures in scoring.
Trailing by 11 points early, the Eagles took the lead for good with a 24-5 run.
After not grabbing a first half offensive rebound, BC had 11 in the second half.
Jerome Robinson led the way with 21 points and Jordan Chatman added 20.
Ky Bowman had his second straight double-double with 13 points and a career-best 12 boards.

ROLLIN' ON 20'S

Jerome Robinson has scored 20 or more points in three straight games with 23 points at Hartford, 24 in the win over #1/1 Duke, and 21 points against Columbia.
Robinson has five 20-point performances this season. The Eagles are 5-0 in those games.
On the 23 occasions in which the junior guard have scored 20 or more points in his career, BC is 13-10.

CHAT SESSION

Jordan Chatman is averaging 18.7 points per game over the last three contests for BC.
Last time out, the junior guard scored 20 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the floor (4-8 3FG) in a win over Columbia.
Chatman poured in a season-high 22 points vs. Duke, playing all 40 minutes.
It marked his highest scoring output since Jan. 31, 2017 when he had 22 against Wake Forest.
He has four career games with at least 20 points - including a 30-point performance at Virginia Tech where he hit nine 3FG.
Chatman ranks third on the team in 3-pointers made, with 21.

BOWMAN IN SELECT COMPANY

Ky Bowman is the only player in the country to average at least 16.8 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game.
Bowman is also the only player in the ACC to rank among the top 10 in scoring and assists and top 15 in rebounding.
He ranks eighth in the ACC in scoring (16.8 ppg), 15th in rebounding (6.9 rpg), and fifth in assists (5.8 apg).
Nationally, Bowman checks in at 35th in assists per game (5.8) and 20th in total assists (64).

BOWMAN NAMED ACC PLAYER OF THE WEEK (DEC. 11)

Fresh off his near triple-double in the 89-84 win over top-ranked Duke, Ky Bowman was named the ACC Player of the Week.
Bowman registered season-highs with 30 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists in the victory over the top-ranked Blue Devils.
It was BC's first win over Duke since 2009 and the Eagles' first victory over a No. 1 ranked team since 2014.
He connected on 12-of-24 of his shots from the floor, including three 3-pointers and all three of his free throw attempts.
He scored 15 of his 30 points in the first half; 10 points in the final 10:00 of play; and six in the final five minutes of regulation.
The 30 points were the most scored in a single-game by an opposing player vs. Duke this season and the most by a Blue Devil opponent since Feb. 18, 2017 (John Collins, Wake Forest - 31).
The 10 rebounds and nine assists were each the second-most registered by an opposing player vs. Duke this season.
It marks Bowman's fourth career 30-point game and third in ACC play through 19 career conference contests.
This marks Bowman's third career ACC weekly award. Last season, he was a two-time ACC Rookie of the Week selection.
He is the first BC player to earn ACC Player of the Week accolades since Jerome Robinson on Dec. 19, 2016.
Additionally, Bowman earned ACC and National Player of Week honors from collegesportsmadness.com.

TODAY'S BOSTON COLLEGE NOTE(S) YOU CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT

Boston College has come back from double-digit deficits en route to victory on three occasions this season.
Overall, the Eagles have trailed by 10 or more four times before coming back to take the lead. BC used an 18-5 run to come back from 12 down vs. Texas Tech.
Through the first seven games of the season (prior to the Nebraska game), Ky Bowman accounted for 19.9% of the offense. Jerome Robinson (19.1%), Deontae Hawkins (17.5) and Jordan Chatman (13.1) accounted for 70.0% of the BC scoring.
Since the Duke game, Robinson (28.0%), Bowman (26.3), and Chatman (23.0%) account for 77.3% of the offensive output.

STEFFON THE STAT SHEET STUFFER

Eleven games into his collegiate career, and Steffon Mitchell has proven to be a versatile contributor for the Eagles.
In nine of the 11 games so far this season, Mitchell has led the team in either scoring, rebounding, assists, blocks, or steals.
Mitchell led BC in steals in the Duke, Hartford, and S.C. State games. He was also the top assist man at Hartford.
He was the team's top rebounder against Nebraska, Colgate, Texas Tech and Sacred Heart.
The 6-8 forward was the team shot blocker leader against Texas Tech, Nebraska, and Providence.
The Shakopee, Minn. native led BC in scoring with 21 points versus S.C State.
La Salle and Columbia are the only games this season in which he has not led Boston College in a stat category.

20-20 VISION

Jerome Robinson and Ky Bowman scored 20 points in the same game in the Hartford and Duke games.
Versus top-ranked Duke, Bowman poured in a season-high 30 points and Robinson had 24 points in the win.
At Hartford, Robinson had a game-high 23 points while Bowman added 21 points in the win.
The dynamic duo have accomplished this on five occasions over the last two seasons - BC is 3-2 in those games.

I LOVE THE 80'S

Boston College has scored 80 points or more in six games this season. The Eagles are 6-0 in those games.
Last time out vs. Columbia, the Eagles registered 81 points in the victory.
On Dec. 9 against No. 1/1 Duke, the Eagles scored 89 points against the Blue Devils.
BC also tallied 85 points vs. Maine, 91 vs. S.C. State, 82 vs. La Salle, and 83 vs. Colgate.
