BOSTON COLLEGE VS. MAINE - ALL-TIME SERIES
- Tonight marks the 21st time that Boston College and Maine have met on the hardwood, dating back to the 1920-21 season.
- The Eagles hold a 16-4 advantage in the all-time series. BC took the last meeting, 91-60, on Dec. 13, 2015.
- BC is 11-1 at home against the Black Bears, with the lone loss coming on Jan. 2, 2010 (52-51).
- Today's game is part of the 2017 Hall of Fame Tipoff Tournament multi-team event (MTE).
- In its 84 previous season openers, Boston College has posted an outstanding 65-19 (.783) winning percentage. Â
- Last year, the Eagles began the 2016-17 campaign with a 79-73 loss to Nicholls State on Nov. 11.
- BC has played its season opener at the Conte Forum in each of the last three seasons and in 29 of the last 31 years.

ROBINSON NAMED TO PRESEASON ALL-ACC SECOND TEAM; EAGLES 14TH
- Jerome Robinson was named to the Preseason All-ACC Second Team, announced at the league's media day on Oct. 25.
- The junior guard was an All-ACC honorable mention a season ago, ranking fourth in the conference in scoring (18.7 ppg).
- He reached the 20-point mark in 17 of BC's 32 games - tops in the ACC and second among all major conference players.
- Robinson was the only player in the ACC to average at least 18.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.7 steals per game.
- He also led the Eagles in assists (108/3.4 apg) and steals (55/1.7 spg). Â
- Boston College was picked to finish 14th on the preseason poll. Â
- Duke, defending national champion North Carolina, Notre Dame, Miami, and Louisville round out the top five. Â
- Deontae Hawkins will be playing his final season of eligibility as a graduate transfer for Boston College in 2017-18.
