Eagles notch most points against the Noles in history of series
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College football team earned its first victory over Florida State since 2009, recording the largest margin of victory over FSU in the program's history as the Eagles rolled to a 35-3 victory over the Seminoles. The Eagles (5-4, 3-3 ACC) collected their third straight ACC victory in the annual Red Bandanna Game, honoring Sept. 11 hero Welles Crowther.

Freshman running back AJ Dillon rushed for 149 yards and scored one touchdown while senior linebacker Ty Schwab had 12 tackles with 2.5 tackles for loss as the Eagles (5-4, 3-3 ACC) defeated the Seminoles (2-5, 2-4 ACC), 35-3, at Alumni Stadium.

Redshirt freshman wide receiver Kobay White finished the game with two receptions for 46 yards and one touchdown and junior tight end Tommy Sweeney had two catches for 19 yards and one touchdown in the first half to give the Eagles a commanding lead that they would hold throughout the remainder of the game.

The win marked the first over the Seminoles since Oct. 3, 2009. BC snapped a seven-game FSU winning streak. The 35 points scored were the most BC has notched against Florida State. Prior to Friday night's game, the Eagles' largest margin of victory over the Noles was 13 points on Sept. 29, 1957.

- Freshman running back AJ Dillon recorded his third career 100-yard rushing game. He scored one touchdown and finished the game with 33 carries for 149 yards, averaging 4.5 yards per carry.
- Junior wide receiver Jeff Smith threw his second touchdown pass of the season and the fifth of his career.
- Redshirt freshman Kobay White caught his second touchdown pass of the season. Both catches have for over 30 yards.
- Senior linebacker Ty Schwab recorded a career-high 12 tackles and notched his second career interception. He added one sack and 2.5 tackles for loss.
- Redshirt freshman linebacker John Lamot tied a career high with 10 tackles, including two tackles for loss, and recorded his first career sack.
- Junior defensive back Will Harris had two fumble recoveries in the game, the first two of his career.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- BC opened the scoring at 7:55 in the first quarter on a double reverse when Jeff Smith completed a 34-yard touchdown pass to White to give the Eagles a 7-0 lead. Dillon set the Eagles up at the Noles' 46-yard line with a 27-yard run at the beginning of the scoring drive.
- Harris recovered a fumble by FSU running back Cam Akers with under four minutes to play in the first to keep the Seminoles from scoring.
- Freshman running back Travis Levy rushed for eight yards to the Florida State 38-yard line. After a series of rushes by Dillon and a 15-yard pass interference call on defensive back Tavarus McFadden, the Eagles had the ball at the FSU nine-yard line. Brown completed an 11-yard touchdown pass to junior tight end Tommy Sweeney at 10:10 to make it 14-0.
- An interception by Schwab gave the Eagles the ball at their own 37-yard line. Dillon rushed for 39 yards to the Florida State 17 and carried it three more times to the four-yard line. Brown rushed for a four-yard touchdown at 6:48 in the second quarter to increase the Eagles lead.
- Seminoles kicker Ricky Aguayo converted a 36-yard field goal with 44 seconds left in the first half to complete a 13-play, 51-yard scoring drive and give the Noles their only points of the game.
- In the beginning of the second half, senior kicker Mike Knoll punted the ball 37 yards to the FSU 12-yard line but McFadden fumbled it, allowing Harris to recover at the 11. Dillon carried the ball twice and then rushed for a two-yard touchdown with 11 minutes to play in the third quarter to give the Eagles a 28-3 lead.
- BC had the ball at the FSU 24-yard line and after a series of rushes by Dillon, including an 11-yard rush to the one-yard line, graduate quarterback Darius Wade converted a one-yard touchdown run on fourth down with 13 seconds remaining in the third quarter.
