HOW IT HAPPENED
- North Carolina made the first run of the game when it rattled off eight-straight points to build a 27-17 lead with 6:18 left in the first half.
- Boston College responded with 10 unanswered points – all scored by Bowman – over the next 2:31 to tie it at 27-27. Bowman hit a pair of 3-pointers and capped the streak with a steal and breakaway dunk.
- The Tar Heels took a 34-33 lead into halftime.
- North Carolina was up by two before scoring five-straight points to build a 66-59 lead at the 6:56 mark.
