BC HIGHLIGHTS
- Sophomore Jerome Robinson finished with a game-high 27 points with 21 of them coming in the second half. He was 7-for-9 from the field after halftime.
- Sophomore A.J. Turner posted 15 points and four rebounds. He scored 12 points after halftime.
- Freshman Ky Bowman finished with 10 points and six rebounds.Â
- Graduate student Mo Jeffers had nine points and nine boards.
TURNING POINT
Two five-minute stretches in the first half - and second half - helped propel the host Hurricanes to a 78-77 victory over the visiting Eagles.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Miami used a 17-4 run that lasted 6:42 to build a 28-13 lead with 6:05 left in the first half.
- Boston College finished the half by scoring nine of the last 11 points to cut its halftime deficit to 30-22.
- With the Hurricanes on top, 47-42, they went on a 12-2 run to make it a 61-44 lead with 8:52 remaining.
- BC responded with a 25-11 run in next 7:28 to cut the deficit to 72-69 with 54 seconds left.Â
- Miami went 18-of-24 from the foul line as the Eagles closed the lead to two in the closing seconds, but Miami iced the contest with a pair of free throws from Bruce Brown with four seconds remaining.
- Robinson hit a 3-pointer as time expired but it was not enough as the Hurricanes escaped with a 78-77 victory.
