SERIES HISTORY
- Boston College and Buffalo have met eight times with BC holding a 6-2 series advantage over the Bulls.
- The series began between the two schools in 1963 (15-0 BC victory at BC). Saturday's game is the first meeting between the two schools since Oct. 28, 2006 (41-0 BC victory).
- BC has won two straight in the series but Saturday's game will be just the third meeting between the two schools since 1970.
- BC has averaged 28.4 points per game in the eight all-time meetings vs. the Bulls. Buffalo has averaged 14 points per game vs. BC with all eight games played in the series coming at Boston College.
- Steve Addazio is 1-0 as a head coach vs. Buffalo. His 2011 Temple team defeated the Bulls 34-0.
SCOUTING THE BULLS
- Last week the UB Bulls pulled an overtime upset to beat Army 23-20 and will look to continue their momentum.
- Runningback Jordan Johnson will be taking the main work load in the backfield for the bulls/ Johnson has rushed for 218 yards on 50 attempts.
- Quarterback Tyree Jackson will pose a serious threat with his arm and his legs. Rushing for 181 yards this season, Jackson has also thrown for over 400 yards and has contributed to have of the Bulls touchdowns.
- On defense, linebacker Khalil Hodge has torn up the middle of the field. The sophomore is averaging 13 tackles per game.
THE EAGLES BREAKDOWN
- Boston College set season-highs in total offense (490 yards), points (42) and rushing yards (300) in last week's victory over Wagner.
- Graduate QB Patrick Towles was responsible for four touchdowns on the day, recording two rushing touchdowns and two through the air. He tallied a career-long, 17-yard scramble in the first quarter and a one-yard run in the second.
- Towles and sophomore WR Jeff Smith have connected on 9 passes for a team high 182 yards and three touchdowns including a 58-yard touchdown pass, the longest of Smith's career against Wagner.
- The BC defense held Wagner to just 45 rushing yards on the day. It is the 17th time in 29 games that the Eagles have not allowed an opponent to tally 100 yards on the ground.
- Junior DE Harold Landry recorded a career-high three sacks, bringing his season total to 4.5 and his career total to nine. He also recorded a career-high five tackles for loss.
