- Boston College controlled the pace in the first half by outshooting Quinnipiac, 12-1.
- After spending the entire half on the attack, Schulze-Geisthovel connected on BC's 12th and final shot of the half in the 39th minute when he scored on the feed from Normesinu.
- The Eagles put the pressure on early in the second half and added another goal in the 50th minute. Salama redirected Moro's corner kick – BC's second of the half – past the keeper to make it a 2-0 lead.
- Saladin made his three saves in the last 30 minutes to keep the Bobcats off the board.
