TURNING POINT
Forbes and Schulze-Geisthovel scored three minutes apart to give Boston College a 2-1 lead in the 41st minute. BC held onto the lead the rest of the match.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Boston University struck first in the 19th minute after putting the pressure on early. Magnus Benediktsson got a shot on goal that was saved by sophomore Cedric Saladin, but the rebound fell right to Anthony Viteri who found the back of the net to give the Terriers the early lead.
- BC turned up the pressure and had an 8-3 advantage in first half shots. Following a BU foul on the left side of the field, Johnson set up for a free kick. His cross reached the far post where Forbes pushed in the equalizer.
- The Eagles took the lead in the 41st minute when Normesinu fed a beautiful through pass to the streaking Schulze-Geisthovel. He finished it to put BC on top.
- Enstrom made it a two-goal lead in the 70th minute after a BU miscue. He took the ball away and drove down the left side of the pitch. He finished it himself from a tough angle to provide an important insurance goal.
- The Terriers closed the gap to a single goal in the 88th minute when Benediktsson forced a turnover on the BC back line. He found Felix De Bona for the match's last goal.
