Eagles Start Postseason on Tuesday vs. Georgia Tech

BC is back in the ACC Baseball Championship for the first time since 2010
DURHAM, N.C. – The Boston College baseball team collected two wins at 22nd-ranked Georgia Tech on Saturday to put the Eagles (31-19, 13-15 ACC) in the Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Championship for the first time since 2010 and the third time since BC joined the league in 2006.

The Eagles will start their postseason journey on Tuesday, May 24 with a 3 p.m. against the Yellow Jackets (35-20, 13-16 ACC) at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, N.C. BC has won five of the last six contests against Tech in the last two years and is 8-8 against top-25 teams in 2016.

The game will be broadcast on the ACC Regional Sports Network, NESN Plus in the Boston area, and on satellite radio Sirius 106/XM 193.

In the ACC Tournament format, Tuesday features two first-round games. The Blue Devils and Demon Deacons will play at 11 a.m., followed by the Eagles and Yellow Jackets. Â The winners will enter pool play. Each team will play one game against each of the other three opponents in its pool Wednesday through Saturday (May 25-28). The two teams with the best records within their respective pools will advance to the title game on Sunday, May 29, with the winner earning the ACC's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.

Miami (43-10, 21-7) earned the No. 1 overall seed and will head up Pool A. The Hurricanes will be joined by fourth-seeded Florida State (34-19, 16-10) and fifth-seeded NC State (34-18, 15-13) and the winner of BC-GT.

Louisville (46-10, 22-8) earned the No. 2 seed and will lead Pool B with No. 3 Virginia (36-18, 19-11) and No. 6 Clemson (38-18, 16-14) and the winner of Duke-Wake Forest.

The two pool winners will play Sunday at noon for the 2016 ACC Championship. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2.
