- The Cavs and Eagles did meet up in a non-conference, neutral contest to open the 2012 season at the Caravelle Resort Tournament. BC earned a 5-3 win over No. 17 UVA.

WHAT'S GOING ON WITH THE EAGLES
- It will be a new look for the BC rotation when the Eagles face the Cavaliers. Freshman RHP Jacob Stevens will move to the Friday role while junior RHP Justin Dunn will start on Saturday and junior RHP Mike King will throw Sunday.
- Stevens threw the first 29 innings of his career without giving up an earned run. He finally allowed one at No. 19 Clemson on March 20 and then did so again at Pittsburgh on March 26. - Redshirt sophomore RHP Bobby Skogsbergh returned to action for the first time on Feb. 21 since March 24, 2015 as an injury sidelined him after only three appearances last season. In three of his first four outings, he retired the side in order. In 15.2 innings of relief work this season, he has allowed just three walks while striking out nine. In his 10 appearances, he has given up runs (three) twice. He pitched a career-high 3.2 innings against Connecticut on March 29, allowing three hits and one walk with two Ks. He has recorded at least one hit in the 16 of the 24 games this season, bringing his two-year total to at least one hit in 48 of the 74 games played at BC. He has also reached base in 59 career contests. His 46 walks drawn in 2015 is a BC single-season record and his 11-game hit streak ranks 12th in BC record books.
- Junior Michael Strem has recorded at least one hit in 17 of the Eagles' 24 games this season and at least two hits in nine games.
- Senior Joe Cronin reached base every time he stepped to the plate against Massachusetts on March 30. He was 2-for-2 with a team season-high four walks and recorded his third triple of the season.
