BC HIGHLIGHTS

Sophomore Chloe Sharabba was 2-of-3 at the plate with a home run, three RBIs, two runs scored and a walk.
Sophomore Jordan Chimento was 2-of-4 with a double and three RBIs.
Junior Tatiana Cortez was 1-of-2 with a double and two walks. She has now recorded a hit in eight straight games.
Senior Jessie Daulton went 2-of-4, extending her hit streak to eight games.

TURNING POINT

Providence withstood a three-run rally in the top of the seventh to hold on for victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Julianne Rurka got things started for the Friars in the bottom of the first, driving home a run with a single to center field.
The Eagles answered in the top of the third as Sharabba lifted one over the left field fence with two runners on to give the team a 3-1 advantage.
Providence responded with three of its own in the top of the fourth to retake the lead. The team got two runs in courtesy of an error while Nicole Lundstrom singled to drive in the third run of the inning.
Paige Mulry extended the Friars lead to 5-3 with a single to center field in the fifth.
Providence would add two more in the bottom of the sixth as a Brittney Veler double plated two.
Boston College rallied for three in the top of the seventh, as a double from Chimento brought home Sharabba, Cortez and sophomore Annie Murphy.

UP NEXT
The Eagles will travel to Lowell, Mass., to take on Massachusetts Lowell on Thursday, April 28 at 4 p.m. at River View Athletic Field.
