The junior hit first career walk off to lift Eagles past No. 4 Louisville
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College junior Nick Sciortino was named Player of the Week by the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association. The catcher led the Eagles (21-15) seven hits on the week, including the game-winner against No. 4 Louisville on Saturday to clinch the series victory.

The Barrington, N.J., native drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth against the Cardinals to lift the Eagles to a 2-1 victory and their second win against UL to win the series. It was BC's fourth win over a top-10 team in 2016.

Sciortino led the Eagles with four hits, a .400 batting average, .500 slugging percentage, a .571 on-base percentage and tied for the team lead with three walks in the three-game set with Louisville. He also caught a runner stealing and picked one off. He is currently on a six-game hit streak.
