BC HIGHLIGHTS

Sophomore Annie Murphy went 2-of-3 with a double and an RBI. She also extended her hitting streak to five games.
Senior Jessie Daulton collected a hit and has now registered a base knock in eight of the last nine games.

TURNING POINT

Florida State retook the lead with four runs in the fourth inning and never looked back.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Seminoles got things started in the top of the first, as they plated two runs in the inning. Alex Powers drove in the first run on a sacrifice fly to right field while a Zoe Casas single drove in the second run.
The Eagles answered with a pair of their own in the bottom half of the inning. A double from junior Tatiana Cortez brought home sophomore Chloe Sharabba. Sophomore Jordan Chimento followed that up with a sacrifice bunt that scored sophomore Annie Murphy. Freshman Carly Severini then singled to left field that brought home Cortez. Senior Megan Cooley and Severini would later score off of a throwing error to give BC a 5-2 run at the end of the first.
Florida State got one back in the third off a double from Casas.
The Seminoles added four in the top of the fourth to retake the lead. A Powers double drove home two while Jessica Warren brought home two more courtesy of a home run to left field to give the team a 7-5 edge.
Florida State got two more in the top of the sixth as Warren hit her second home run of the game with a runner on to make it 9-5.
The Eagles got one back in the bottom of the seventh as a sacrifice fly from Murphy brought home Daulton.
